ISED offers scholarships for a master's degree in public health with a concentration in implementation research (IR) for the academic years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 starting from December 2025. The objective of the scholarship program is to strengthen IR capacity on four major global health challenges affecting infectious diseases of poverty using a One Health approach: epidemics and outbreaks; control and elimination of poverty-related diseases; impact of climate change on health; and the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance. The program is taught in French.

Excellence training adapted according to FAO needs, designed to train participants in the theoretical and practical foundations of genetics and genomics of microbial pathogens. The program aims to develop expertise in modern bioinformatics tools and high-throughput sequencing technologies (NGS) applied to surveillance, genomic analysis and epidemiological monitoring of infectious agents according to the One Health concept. The training covers genetics and genomics of pathogens, bioinformatics programming (Linux, R, pipelines), NGS technologies (Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, Ion Torrent), specialized databases (NCBI GenBank, GISAID, ENA, PubMLST/BIGSdb, CARD, PATRIC/BV-BRC, Nextstrain), complete genomic sequence analysis, and molecular phylogeny for epidemiological monitoring. Target audience: public health professionals, veterinarians, biologists, and researchers.

Thesis subject 26-1SP02: Study and strengthen the creation of a transnational collaborative network promoting the exchange of knowledge, resources and expertise between university institutions, research laboratories and field actors in human, animal and environmental health. The research will begin with a systematic mapping of stakeholders, supplemented by semi-structured interviews to identify barriers and levers for cooperation. The candidate will contribute to the management of a collaborative platform (thematic forum, shared database, One Health events agenda), then conduct pilot tests in French-speaking African countries to assess engagement, quality of interactions and impact on co-production of research and training projects.
